Where and When? Weatherstone Pool
Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:00-5:30.
How much?
$150 for 1st child
$125 for each additional child
Toileting requirements: At this time, we will require all swimmers to be FULLY POTTY TRAINED. An accident in the pool will close the pool until the appropriate cleaning protocols can be implemented. Closing the pool would negatively impact the other swim team members scheduled for later practices and neighbors that enjoy the pool during the evenings.
What does the fee pay for?
- 12 thirty-minute lessons at the Weatherstone Pool
- 2024 Team T-shirt
- Ability to participate in additional coach guided practice time if the Head Coach feels your swimmer is strong enough to move up or add on time into our guppy level practice at 5:30-6:00 (M/T/W and some Thursdays)
- Ability to participate in regular swim meets if the Head Coach and SAIL Reps feels your swimmer is strong enough. All swimmers must have one parent volunteering for at least one half of the swim meet as Timer (you see all the action) or Tent Parent (quieter spot and great for parents that have younger children).
- Participation in Divisionals Week fun activities: June 24-27.
- Kids who will probably sleep better on Monday and Wednesday nights
- Kids who may ask for more food at meals
- Attendance at our end of the year dinner and awards banquet on Sunday, June 30 at Weatherstone Clubhouse. Dinner is on us. RSVP form will come out later in the season with drink and dessert sign up.
Who are the instructors?
At this time, we won’t know exactly how many instructors are needed until registration is complete and summer schedules have been confirmed. Planned instructors:
- Owen Medearis, age 17.
- Weatherstone Swim Team member since 2013.
- Guppy Volunteer Coach since 2021.
- Rising Senior at GTCHS
- Varsity Swim Team Captain at GTCHS
- Ahnnalise Wolf, age 20
- Weatherstone Swim Team member from 2013?-2022
- Guppy Coach since 2023
- Former year-round swimmer with TG
- Rising Junior at Clemson
What is the student-instructor ratio?: We will aim for 1 instructor to every 4-5 students PLUS a teen/tween helper.
Parent attendance requirements: Due to the young age of the swimmers in lessons, a parent is required to be inside the fence at the Weatherstone Pool during practice time. If your child needs to use the restroom during a lesson, we request that you are present and available to assist if needed.
What happens if there is bad weather?
We will send out a Remind Text message to cancel or delay practice due to questionable weather. We have 3 built in makeup dates in the event of bad weather or missed practices. No other makeup dates will be provided.
Will there be any makeup lessons for bad weather or if our family already has another commitment during a regularly scheduled practice time:
Makeup Lesson Dates/Times:

Missed session from June 3-June 12 | Saturday, June 15 at 10:00 AM |
